The Bible is full of information about the love of God and it’s called Agape. Let’s read one of the passages from the Bible concerning the love of God.

Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength”. In this our mind, our heart, our soul and our strength are all included. Is God too demanding? Of course not, we are his special creation and also it is the only way we can be useful in this earth and a reward awaits us in heaven.

This commandment does not put pressure on us in any way, and we each decide whether to do it or not. It is an excellent example for the parents. It would be obscure for parents to demand that their children love them.

Let’s think on this. Who benefits, our God or us? Whatever attitude we have, He continues to be God. Naturally He gets sad but he also rejoices when one of us decides to love him.

Billy Graham came across an atheist and he asked Billy Graham this question, what do you gain in believing in God?

This was his answer: Let’s suppose God does not exist, believing in him has made me a better husband, a better father, and a better citizen. But if he does exist I have eternal life. But what about you, what good does it do you not to believe in God? Your destiny will be a place of torment.

I encourage you to love God above everything else. Our eternal Father loves everyone. Amen and Amen.
