The Wallace Theater in Levelland and a collaboration of over 50 civic groups, non-profits, vendors, food trucks, downtown businesses, and 19 sponsors are gearing up for “Falling for the Wallace” Fall Festival.
The festival will be held this Saturday, October 5 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities that cater to all ages and interests. From shopping at local downtown businesses, browsing through festival booths featuring area artisans, and trying your luck at carnival games hosted by local businesses and civic groups, to enjoying live music and art displays; there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The Wallace Theater will be selling new logo-themed merchandise. Local organizations were encouraged to create fall festival games to raise money for their organizations. Attendees will see school groups from Levelland ISD, Sundown, and South Plains College along with a cake walk presented by Levelland Noon Rotary.
One of the highlights of the festival is the display of artwork from local Hockley County students that will be held at the Brasch- Mitchell Building located at 515 Ave. G. The theme “Loving the Arts” gave students a chance to interpret what art means to them personally and how it has impacted their lives. This broad theme allowed for a wide range of creative expression, from visual arts to literary works, each capturing a unique perspective on the influence and significance of the arts.
Along with the art gallery, the festival will feature a Touch-ATruck section in partnership with the City of Levelland and Covenant EMS. The Levelland Fire Department will also be hosting its Fire Prevention Day during the festival.
The festival will also feature food, entertainment, and a range of family-friendly activities. Kids can participate in arts and crafts, face painting, a pumpkin patch, and games, while adults can explore the various booths and exhibits set up by local artisans and businesses.
The event is free with booths charging for their carnival activities and items on sale.
