Octavia Claudell "Sis" Mouser, age 98, passed away on Monday, January 31 , 2022. Funeral services will be at I :30 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Lubbock. Interment will follow at Littlefield Memorial Park. Arrangements are tmder the personal care of MooreRose Funeral Home in Idalou.
Sis was born March 20, 1923 in Goree, Texas to Lonnie and Carey (Poer) Chamberlain. She attended Spade High School and graduated in 1940. She also met and married the love of her life that year, Delbert Ray Mouser. Sis worked many years as the Postmaster in Spade, Texas. She enjoyed a variety of activities when she wasn't working. She was a needle craft genius, and she was a huge sports fan, which meant she loved watching the teams her family members played on, or coached, as well as Texas Tech. Sis was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church in Spade.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert in 1995; her parents, Lonnie and Carey; and one brother, J.R. Chamberlain.
Those left to cherish Sis' memory are her sons, Ronald (Sharon) Mouser of Ransom Canyon, and Billy Pat (Susan) Mouser of Abilene; and her four grandchildren, Mandi (Chris) Murphy of Argyle, Texas, Brad (Jaime) Mouser of The Colony, Texas, Greg (Amy) Mouser of Paris, Texas and Kelly (Adrian) Holland of Lubbock, and I 0 great grandchildren.
