Georgia Ann Griese, 79, of Littlefield, passed away on Nov. 27, 2024, in Littlefield, TX after a brief illness.
Georgia was born in Slaton, TX on Jan. 11, 1945 to George L. and Ethel Mae (Fry) Bahlman. Georgia attended Bula School in Bula, TX and graduated from high school there in 1963. Georgia continued her education at South Plains College in Levelland, TX and West Texas State University in Canyon, TX. Georgia received her teaching degree and taught special needs education at Springlake Earth, Claude and Amarillo area schools for many years.
Georgia had many interests and hobbies that included traveling, sewing, ceramics, researching genealogy and square dancing. She meet and married Richard S. Griese in Amarillo, TX on July 27, 1985. When she lived in Colorado, Georgia worked for The Bureau of Land Management wild horse and burro program.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, and many lifelong and recent friends.
Memorial Services were held Thursday afternoon, Dec. 19, 2024, in Hillcrest Funeral Home’s Grace Chapel. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
