The Sudan Chapel Committee will be having their 2nd annual Hamburger Social on Sunday, June 4th at the City Park/Community Center from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Kenneth Richards has put together a great group of local entertainers that will make the lunch even better.
We would also like to have any good (or bad) cooks donate their favorite dessert for our silent auction. Please let Ann Carson ( 806) 393- 5150 or Marge Cardwell (806) 946-8732 know if you can help us with this.
There will also be a raffle of a portable grill from Texas Producers Cooperative.
Our chapel is fixing to be erected in the next couple of weeks. We have all the material needed for the outside of it, including windows and doors. So this fundraiser will help us start work on the inside. Our brick fundraiser has been very successful. Probably over 50 bricks have actually been ordered with a whole bunch on hold. We are expecting our second order of bricks any day and have sent off our third order. When we get the second order in, I will pick out several to display on social media to give some of you an idea of what to maybe put on them.
