Mark Meurer, Director of Mercy Retreat Center in Slaton, Texas, is pleased to announce a new retreat for Lent.
“RECONCILING THE HEART” is a 3-day weekend retreat just in time for Lent. The goal of this retreat is to reconcile our hearts so that we can live in peace with God, with our family and neighbors, friends and enemies, and ultimately with ourselves so that we can have joy, peace, and happiness, and begin to live a wholesome spiritual life.
We all have areas in our lives and in our hearts that are suffering because of life’s hurts that come from all sorts of places, sometimes our own doing, or we have been hurt, or we have lost loved ones or plunged into darkness, or life has paralyzed us somehow and we are stuck as captives and cannot seem to get loose.
Or, maybe we just need that one experience that will set us free to love and be loved.
This retreat is scheduled for the weekend of March 3-5, 2023, and begins Friday evening at 7 p.m. Msgr. Joe James will celebrate mass and hear confessions. The cost is $225.00. This includes all meals and lodging at the Mercy Retreat Center in Slaton, Texas.
