South Plains College presented academic and service awards to 114 students who displayed the highest level of achievement throughout the 2021-2022 academic year. Students were recognized and presented their awards at the college’s annual student awards event Wednesday (May 11) at Texan Dome on the campus of SPC.
Esther De la Rosa of Littlefield, studying to obtain a Vocational Nursing Certificate, earned the Outstanding Student in Vocational Nursing.
Abigail Garcia of Olton, studying to obtain an AS in Business Administration, earned the Residence Life Excellence Award.
Liliana Jimenez Cuello of Amherst, studying to obtain an AAT in Teaching (EC-8), earned the Campus Ambassador.
Geyah Garza of Littlefield, studying to obtain an AS in Pre-Medicine, earned the Outstanding Student in Biologyand Outstanding Student in English and Philosophy.
South Plains College is a comprehensive, two-year community college that serves the greater South Plains area of Texas with innovative educational programs that span the arts and sciences, technical education, continuing education and workforce development. Serving a 13-county area that comprises the southern portion of the Texas High Plains, the college’s main campus is located in Levelland.
