EXCELLENCE AWARDS

ABIGAIL BURT is the recipient of the 4-H Adult Leaders’ Association’s Scholarship.

I DARE YOU AWARDS were presented to two sisters. The award is given in memory of William H. Danforth, founder of the Ralston Purina Company, co-founder of the American Youth Foundation, and the author of the book, “I Dare You!” The awards were given to Lydia (left) and Abigail Burt (rght), in recognition of their personal achievements, balanced living, and service to others. With them is Extension Agent Kyle Howard. 

SILVER SPUR AWARDS – Michael and Rosemary Peggram of Olton have been long-time supporters of 4-H programs in Lamb County, and received the Silver Spur Awards at the banquet Saturday evening, from Lamb County Extension Agent Kendra Callahan.

DISTINGUISHED LEADER AWARD – Lyndall Favor, a volunteer leader in the Lamb County 4-H Shooting Sports program, shows the engraved pocket knife he was awarded for his involvement as a leader. He is shown with the Extenion Agents.

EXCELLENCE AWARDS – There were 24 4-H members throughout Lamb County who qualified for the Excellence Award. They are shown with a variety of items they received. They had to submit a completed recordbook and place first at a District 4-H contest or regional or state stock show. The awards were sponsored by three Littlefield banks: Wellington Bank, Prosperity Bank and First Bank and Trust. Presenting their special award items were Alana Carr, representing the Adult Leaders Association, and 4-H’er Lydia Burt.
