Wayne O. Moore, 93, of Olton, TX, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, at his home in Olton. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Olton Cemetery, with Chaplain Guy Atkinson officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Wayne was born June 29, 1932, in Olton, TX, to Eddie and Dovie (Watson) Moore. He graduated from Olton High School in 1949 and proudly served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955, stationed in Pearl Harbor. While there, in 1952, Wayne accepted Christ as his Savior and faithfully lived as a believer for the next 73 years.
On Dec. 19, 1964, Wayne married Glenda Faye Williamson in Olton. A lifetime resident of Olton, Wayne worked at the Olton Enterprise before owning and operating Wayne’s Printing for many years. He was also a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Plainview.
Wayne enjoyed carpentry, electrical work, and restoring classic 1950’s cars. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers; and a sister.
Survivors include his son; his daughter; and his sister; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
