Thomas Floyd Cloninger, 84, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. He was born to Jessie Faye and Pete Cloninger on September 29, 1940, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and he lived in Littlefield, TX, for 78 years. He served in the US Army from 1963-1965. He was a hardworking letter carrier for the US Postal Service for 33 years.

Tommy loved the Littlefield Wildcats and was a proud booster and supporter his entire life. He could be seen cheering on the sidelines at football games and was chosen to be Wildcat of the Year. He was proud to sport his signature ball hat and share them with the football team, and proudly wore his maroon and white custom made cowboy boots. He loved all sports, country music including the original outlaws, and his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kay Cloninger; daughter, Mandy, and granddaughters Luna and Alyssa; son, Kenny and Christy Schwartz, and grandchildren, Mandy Schwartz and Nathan and Alex Schwartz; great grandchildren: Myah, Khloee, Penelope, Preston and Bailey; a sister, Linda Barlow; and three nieces, Ronette, Tonette and Tomla.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Littlefield Emergency Medical Services (EMS) at PO Box 1267, Littlefield TX 79339.
