Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday

The Commissioners Court of Lamb County held their regular meeting on Monday, June 10th at 10 a.m. in the Lamb County Courthouse, which is located in Littlefield to discuss an eight-item agenda.

Lamb County Judge James DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10 a.m. and there was nobody present for Public Comment.

Item three on the agenda was Consent agenda items; (a) Consider and take appropriate action on minutes from previous meeting(s); Regular Meeting May 24, 2024 (b) Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers; As Presented by Gina Jones.

(c) Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor; Gina Jones presented bills.

(d) Consider and take appropriate action on payroll; Terra Hopper presented the requests for the Commissioners to approve Payroll for Lamb County and LHC.

(e) Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports; In Packet.

(f) Consider and take appropriate action on donations; $1,190.00 for Library and $5,000.00 from LCEC for Ag Barn/AV equipment.

The motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried.

The next order of business was to consider and take appropriate action on Purchase of 10 Express Vote Voting systems before the November 2024 general election.

The motion was made by Commissioner Kent Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve Purchase of 10 Express Vote Voting systems before the November 2024 general election. The motion carried.

Item five on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on providing snacks for upcoming TDEM Classes.

The motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve providing snacks for upcoming TDEM Classes. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Purchase and Finance of Motor Grader in Precinct 2.

The Motion was made by Commissioner Lewis and seconded by Commissioner Short to approve the Purchase and Finance of Motor Grader in Precinct 2, contingent upon approval of the contract by Lamb County District Attorney. The motion carried.

Future agenda items were discussed.

With there being no further business to come before this Commissioners Court, the motion was made by Commissioner Logan and seconded by Commissioner Short to adjourn. The motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
