Bryan Allcorn leads through 2nd update in Bowl Game Blowout

The Lamb County Leader-News’ Bowl Game Blowout continues, as we are near halfway through the Bowl Season. This update includes games from Dec. 18th to the 25th.

On Dec. 18th, Western Kentucky defeated Old Dominion, 38-35, in overtime at the Famous Toastery Bowl, while UTSA took down Marshall, 35-17, on Tuesday, Dec. 19th, at the Frisco Bowl.

On Thursday, Dec. 21st, South Florida shutout Syracuse, 45-0 in the Boca Raton Bowl, while Georgia Tech rallied past UCF on Friday, 30-17, in the Gasparilla Bowl. On Saturday, Dec. 23rd, Duke took down Troy, 17-10, in the 76 Birmingham Bowl, while Northern Illinois edged out Arkansas State in the Camellia Bowl, 21-19.

Air Force downed James Madison in the Armed Forces Bowl, 31-21, while Georgia State won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl over Utah State, 45-22. South Alabama blasted Eastern Michigan, 45-22, in the 68 Ventures Bowl, while Northwestern took down Utah in the Last Vegas Bowl and Coastal Carolina defeated San Jose State, 24-14, in the Hawai’i Bowl.

This update, our field of 18 contestants is led by Bryan Allcorn, who boasts 12 points to this point in the contest. He is followed close behind by Martin Duran and Danny Sanders, who are tied for second with 11 points and Joe Lopez, who sits in third with 10 points.

Juan Garza, Jennifer Ray and Jan Smith each have eight points, while Ed Dabrowski, Teresa Dabrowski, Ben Eastepp, Jaime Grey and Ernest Hernandez each have seven points, and Maria Pinon, Johnny Rosemond and Ernest Hernandez each tally six points.

Pablo Trevino and Richard Carter round out the field with five points.
