Annual Water Level Measurements Taking Place

High Plains Underground Water Conservation District Field Technicians are now making annual water level measurements. This is to determine the effects of the past year’s pumping from the Aquifers in the District.

Look out for marked Ford trucks and field tech uniforms.

Water level measurements are made in a network of more than 1,400 privately owned water wells that are used for observation.

Follow HPWD on social media and the website to see when they will be in your area. HPWD will also show when counties are complete. The results of the measurements of the observation wells will be available soon on the interactive map at MAP.HPWD.ORG.
