The Peace Deliverence Church at 801 XIT Dr. in Littlefield hosted a Community Wide Vacation Bible School from Monday, July11th through Friday, July 15 th .

The Vacation Bible School was sponsored by Peace Deliverance Church, Irvin St. First Baptist Church, Griffin Street Baptist Church, New Mt. Olive Church, New Jerusalem of Littlefield, Mt. Olive of Sudan, New Hope Baptist Church of Amherst,and the Lamb County Brotherhood.

A special guest presenter Beverly Walton from Carson, California sang a musical selection each night. She and her husband Bobby Walton, who was raised in Littlefield, have been coming back to Littlefield from May until the Dunbar reunion in September since 1965.

A member of the Lamb County Brotherhood brought the Adult lesson each night. Johnny Rosemond presented “God, The Creator.” Donald Johnson presented “God the Designer”, Derric Smith taught “Jesus, The King”, Benny Williams taught”Jesus The Redeemer” and Pastor John D. McCarty taught “Holy Spirit, the Helper”.

Barbara Colbert and Minister RoseNunley were in charge of the crafts during the Bible School. Kandy Scales and Minnie Moore were in charge of the kitchen, shoppers for the Bible School were Retha Williams and Ann Bradley. The Lamb County Brotherhood was in charge of the grill for the cookout. Retha Williams served as treasurer, and runners for the Bible School were Elzeah Coleman, Keeiona Shed, DD Gonzales, and Kayden Weaver. Sharon Johnson and Jennica Williams were working everywhere at once.

Special musical selections were presented to the main assembly each night by Candy Weaver, and the VBS Songbird-Beverly Walton and Kevin King, and by the Bible School children.

On Friday night Vacation Bible School ended this year’s Bible School with a cook-out at Dunbar Park in Littlefield.
