PITCH-PERFECT

Sudan’s Lizseth Sital went through the motions and gets set to release her pitch in last week’s 10U nine-team double elimination state tournament held in Littlefield. Sital and her team fell to Portales in the opening game on Friday, then lost to Levelland Saturday morning.

STATE CHAMPIONS

The Littlefield Lady Cat 10U girls’ All Star team went undefeated in last week’s nine team double elimination state softball tournament held in Littlefield. Littlefield beat Pampa Friday and then beat Dumas and Denver City on Saturday.

16U ALL-STARS

The Littlefield Lady Cat 16U All-Stars took second place in last week’s three-team double elimination state tournament held in Littlefield. The Lady Cats beat Hereford in their opening game, fell to Dumas, then beat Hereford again on Saturday.

DISTRICT CHAMPIONS

The Littlefield Wildcat 12U All-Stars took home the district championship in tournament play last week in Sudan. Littlefield fell to Muleshoe Tuesday night, but then defeated Sudan, Olton and then Muleshoe twice to win the district championship.

LITTLEFIELD 10U CAL RIPKEN ALL-STARS

The Littlefield 10 & under Cal Ripken All-Stars played in the West Texas District three tournament held June 21st through 25th in Muleshoe. The team went 3-2 in the tournament and finished in second place.

LITTLEFIELD CHEER CAMP

Littlefield’s basketball gym was full of future cheerleaders Tuesday morning during day two of Littlefield’s Cheer Camp. Trisha Duncan, cheerleading sponsor, said the camp had about 130 campers, ages 3 to 12 years old. Tuesday was maroon and white day. Most campers were cheering while wearing their Littlefield cheer leading outfits. Shown is Littlefield Cheerleader Angelica DelaFunte with campers Aubree, Mia, Kynlee and Zatanna. The camp wrapped up Thursday.

Cheer camp begins Monday

Attention future cheerleaders! Littlefield Cheer Camp begins this Monday, June 23rd and will last through Thursday, June 26th from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The camp will take place at the Wildcat Basketball Gym. The camp will be given by Littlefield High School Cheerleaders and they will be teaching campers cheers, chants, dances and jumps!
