’Cat fight this Friday night

Littlefield’s run through the district season continues this Friday night with a home game against the Dimmitt Bobcats. The Wildcats (4-3, 2-0) picked up a 19-7 win over Amarillo River Road last Friday night. Littlefield Head Coach Bryan Huseman said after watching film of the game, he came away with positives and stuff his team still needs to work on.

Littlefield runs past River Road, 19-7

Littlefield moved to 2-0 in district play with a 19-7 win at Amarillo River Road Friday night. It seemed like a dominating effort by Littlefield, but River Road wouldn’t go away. Littlefield finished with 326 total yards of offense, while holding River Road to 140 total yards.

Lfd. Lady Cats lose to Dimmitt in district

Littlefield dropped their second district volleyball game of the season Tuesday night at Dimmitt. The Lady Cats fell in the first two sets 25-12 and 25-17, but won the third set 25-21. Littlefield battled in the fourth set, but fell 25-21. In the first set, the Lady Cats grabbed the early 2-0 lead, but Dimmitt quickly jumped out 13- 4.

Wildcats looking to improve district record to 2-0

Littlefield knows it can’t have another penalty-filled game this week if they hope to move to 2-0 in district play. The Wildcats (3-3, 1-0) travel to Amarillo to take on River Road (2-4, 0-1). Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. Littlefield had to get a last second defensive stop last week against Childress to take the 20-12 win.

Lady Cats drop district opener to Tulia

Littlefield’s Daisy Fuentes serves the ball during Tuesday night’s district opener at home against Tulia. The Lady Cats fell in three straight matches.

Littlefield began their volleyball district season with a loss to Tulia at home Tuesday night. They fell in three straight sets, 25-16m 25-22 and 25-22. Lady Cat Head Coach Desiree Shahan said the team played well, but their serving hurt them.

Littlefield knows this Friday night, their season starts over...well, sort of. The Wildcats begin district play with a home game against Childress. Both teams enter with identical 2-3 records, but being the district opener for both, 0-0 in district play.

TOUCHDOWN RUN!

Littlefield Eight Grader K.C. Johnson ran away from Levelland Lobo defenders and towards the end zone for a touchdown in Thursday night’s home game. The Wildcat 8th grade team beat Levelland 44-14.

Lady Cat volleyball ready for district play

With a playoff spot already secured before district play even starts, the Littlefield Lady Cat Volleyball isn’t using that as an excuse to not get out there and work hard. The Lady Cats ended their predistrict play Saturday (yesterday) against Grape Creek, and begin district play this Tuesday night at home against Tulia.
