BILLY CLAUD GOEN

Billy Claud Goen, 82, died May 11, 2018 in Lubbock, Texas. Memorial service was held Monday, May 14, 2018, 11 a.m., at the 12th St. Church of Christ in Shallowater, Texas. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas. Bill was born on Aug. 1, 1935 in Anton, Texas to Claude and Jessie Pearl (Minton) Goen. He attended Anton High School, and married Francys Nadine Martin on Feb. 28 1955. Residing in Anton, then Lubbock, Bill worked in various jobs including farming, carpentry, and auto sales. Bill was preceded in death by wife of 62 years Nadine; his parents; and two brothers. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Brady and Jenny Goen of Shallowater; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sharon Goen of Alba; son and daughter-in-law, Scot and Deanne Goen of Lubbock; daughter and son-in-law, Dena and Dennis Dodd of Melrose, NM; 14 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. Memorial gifts may be made to Texas Boys Ranch at P.O.

JESSIE WISEMAN

Graveside service for Jessie “Brownie” Wiseman, age 92, of Sudan, Texas was to be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Sudan Cemetery with Terry Wilson of Sudan, officiating. Jessie died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Sudan. She was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Needmore, Texas to Jesse R. and Lottie (McCellan) Moore. She married Weldon Wiseman in Muleshoe, Texas on March 6, 1943. Jessie was a homemaker and a member of the Sudan Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Weldon; her daughter, Rita Ann Conley Spring; her parents; her three sisters, Elsie Damron, Mable Regal and Cherrie Willard; her brother, Edd Moore; and one grandson, Billy Miller. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Marilynn Beth Herwick of Lubbock; three grandchildren, Leanna Wilson, Michael Conley and Ronda Gray; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be sent to the New Mexico Childrens Home, 1356 NM 236, Portales, New Mexico, 88130.

JOYCE GARRISON

Joyce Elaine Garrison, 76, died May 4, 2018 in Lubbock. She was born in Memphis, Texas. She attended high school in Olton, Texas and graduated in 1960 and later graduated from Texas Tech in 1964 with an Elementary Education Major. She was a Girl Scout Leader and Lifetime membership award member of United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, Hurshell Robert Curtis and LaVernia Funderburk of Olton; and a brother, Donald Ray Curtis of Mesa, AZ. Survived by children, Kerry Don Garrison and wife, Kim of Amarillo, and Jana Michelle Garrison of Lubbock; grandchildren: Kelsey Don Garrison of Amarillo, Erika Nichole Miller and Todd Alan Miller of Lubbock; great-grandchild, Jaxson Raven Mattingly of Lubbock. Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2018 at Resthaven Memorial Park.

RAMON R. HERNANDEZ

Ramon Rodriquez Hernandez, 72, of Littlefield, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 in Lubbock. Funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Brian Wood officiating. Interment followed in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers Alex Garcia, Emmanuel Hernandez, Jimmy Jordan Garcia, Carlos Garcia, Felix Hernandez, Ricky Garcia. Rosary was recited Sunday evening, at the church. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. He was born Aug. 6, 1945 in Viomadre, Mexico to Ramon Hernandez and Luz Rodriquez. Ramon married Veatriz Ramirez July 6, 1989 in Levelland. He was creative and crafty, and was a talented singer. He enjoyed being outside and working in his garden. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield.
