LOIS IRENE ROBISON

Lois Irene Robison, 78, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 in Lubbock. Services were held Thursday afternoon, Feb. 15, 2018 at Grace Chapel of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, with Pastor Hugh Hayes officiating. Interment followed in Littlefield Cemetery. She was born Feb. 28, 1940 in Heavner, Okla. to Athel and Alice Oliver. Lois married Eldridge Lee Robison Nov. 15, 1955 in Levelland. She enjoyed being with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Billy Quick; and six siblings.

Helen Yvonne Ogerly

Helen Yvonne Ogerly, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018, in Lubbock, Texas.  A small, private graveside service was held Saturday, February 17, 2018 under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas. Yvonne was born in Littlefield, Texas to William Arthur James and Mamie Ratliff James.  She was one of nine children.  Her only sur- viving sibling is brother, Don James and wife, Judy of Lubbock. Yvonne is preceded in death by husband, Ivan Jennings Ogerly and a daughter, Sharla DeAun Ogerly. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Kay Bovre and husband, Tom Bovre of Dallas and a son, Chris Randall Ogerly of Austin. To the host of other relatives, she would wish to express thanks for all the help and beloved memories. In lieu of flowers, Yvonne asked that memorial contributions be made to the Lubbock Children’s Hospital or to Camp Sweeny in Gainesville, Texas

ENRIQUE ‘HENRY’ PEREZ

Enrique “Henry” Perez, 73, of Olton, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Lubbock. Rosary was said at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass was celebrated at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Pena officiating. Interment followed in Olton Cemetery, with Ramage Funeral Directors direcing arrangements. Henry was born July 15, 1944, in Guadalupe County, Texas, to Manuel and Evarista Perez. A life-time Olton resident, Henry married Elfida Gonzales on Jan. 7, 1963, in Olton. A member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Henry was dedicated and hard-working for the church. He was the former St. Peter’s Men’s Group president, and the coordinator of the building committee. Henry was also committed to serving his community. He was the first coordinator of the yearly Mexican Fiesta, served on the Olton Chamber of Commerce board and on the Olton Housing Authority board.

WILLIE MAE RUTHERFORD

Willie Mae Rutherford, 85, of Littlefield, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 in Lubbock. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home. She was born March 1, 1932 in Bula, to George and Vallie Mae Davis. Willie married Jack Rutherford in 1988. She loved crocheting, crafting, and coloring in her color books. She enjoyed going to garage sales, traveling, and tending to her garden. She was preceded in death by her last husband, Jack Rutherford; her first husband, Clyde Gilbert, and also Virgil Burris; and a son, Mickey Dale Gilbert.

In Loving Memory Of Roberto V. Moreno

A rosary for Roberto V. Moreno, 96, former Littlefield resident, who died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, will be held Thursday, Feb. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Feb. 16, at 9:30 a.m. at his home church, St. Anthony Mary Claret, 6150 Roft Rd, San Antonio. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas. Roberto was a native Texan, born on Jan. 21, 1922 in Kenedy, Texas. Moreno moved to Littlefield in 1953, and lived here over 30 years. He worked for Southwestern Public Service Company and was also a barber during that time. Tech Sergeant Moreno was proud to serve in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a Ball Turret Gunner in the 385th Bombardment Group of the Mighty Eighth. He flew many missions in the belly of a B-17 aircraft. After returning from the war, he worked briefly as a mechanic back in his hometown.

LANA WALDEN

Lana Walden, 59, formerly of Lubbock passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2018 in Alto, NM. A service celebrating Lana’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Grace Chapel in Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 1305 Phelps Ave., Littlefield. Rev. Mike McCreight will officiate. Following the service, Lana will be laid to rest at Fairlawn Cemetery in Amherst. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. She was born March 4, 1958 in Russellville, AR to Ray and Juanita Kittler. Lana was a longtime resident of Lubbock. Her and her husband, Tommy, recently retired and moved to Alto, NM. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Walden of Alto; six children, Starr Woodruff, Justin Bright, Tom Walden, Jr., Melissa Walden, Shane Walden, and Melody Wyatt; sister, Marilyn Cass; two nieces; two nephews; eighteen grandchildren; and six great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren.

RUBY LEE REYNOLDS

Ruby Lee Reynolds, 85, of Olton, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, in Amarillo. Services were held Monday afternoon, Feb. 5, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Olton, with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment followed in Plainview Memorial Park in Plainview, under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Ruby was born April 29, 1932, in Lockney, to Frank and Myrtle (Messer) Messimer. She married Gene Reynolds on April 6, 1950, in Clovis, N.M. Moving to Olton in 1956, Ruby was a long-time hairdresser and owned and operated Ruby’s Hair Fashions. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a seamstress and artist. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Reynolds in 2016; a son, Lonnie Reynolds, in 2017; two sisters, and a brother. Survivors include her son, Randy Reynolds and his wife, KangSun of Wichita; her daughter, Marti Coleman of Amarillo; a sister, Charlene Hughes of Amarillo; three grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

MARIA C. MARTINEZ

Maria Coronado Martinez, 83, passed away on Thursday, Jan 25, 2018. A rosary was prayed Tuesday, Jan. 30th, at Resthaven Funeral Home, and a funeral mass was celebrated Wednesday morning, Jan. 31st, at Saint Anthony Church, Anton, with Father John Smith, officiating. Burial was in the Anton Cemetery. She was born to Emilio M. Coronado and Guadalupe Rodriguez on May 8, 1934 in Austin. Maria met and married Reyes Martinez, and settled in the Anton area where they raised seven children. Maria was a homemaker and spent her life raising and caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loyal Dallas Cowboy fan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reyes Martinez; a son, Ruben Martinez; her parents; three brothers, two sisters; and her great-grandson, Julian Rosales. Maria is survived by her children, Margaret (Tommy) Alvarado of Anton, Yolanda (Santos) Duran of Arlington, Patricia (Robert) Garza of Dripping Springs, Reyes Jr.
