JOHNNY LUNSFORD

Johnny Wade Lunsford, 54, of Springlake, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, in Springlake. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Dec. 13, at the First Baptist Church in Springlake with Pastor Glen Harlin officiating. Interment followed in the Olton Cemetery, with Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton in charge of arrangements. Johnny Wade Lunsford was born Feb. 26, 1959, in Olton to Bill and Bonnie Kersh Lunsford. He moved to Springlake in 1969 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lunsford, in 1996 and a sister, Jeanette Lunsford, in 1959. Surviving are his mother, Bonnie Lunsford of Springlake; a brother, Rocky Lunsford and his wife, Wendy, of Keller; a sister, Teresa Williams of Plainview; two nephews, Justin Lunsford and Eric Lunsford; and three nieces, Alexa Taulbee, Taylor Lunsford, and Madison Lunsford. The family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund, Springlake, Texas 79082.

GLORIA A. SARRATT

Gloria A. Sarratt, 91, of Lubbock, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013  at the Plaza in Lubbock.Graveside services were held 
Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 10, 2013 in the Anton Cemetery, where she was laid to rest near her son’s grave. rrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. She was born April 20, 1922 in Oklahoma.
Gloria wrote poetry for many years, before she went blind. She is survived by her daughter- in-law, Tina Sarratt of Lubbock; and two grandchildren, Landon Graves and Kaylee Graves. Preceding her in death were her son, Cecil L. Sarratt, who died in 2008; and her mother, Margia M. Pyle, who died in 1980. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to 
the Anton Cemetery.

JERRY LEE McLELLAND

Graveside services for Jerry Lee McLelland, 52, were conducted Thursday afternoon, Dec. 5, 2013, at Bosley Cemetery in Santo, TX. He died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 in Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. He was born on May 28, 1961, in Amherst, to Virginia Ruth Edwards McLelland and Max David McLelland. He was a long-time employee of the Crowley Independent School District. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his nephew, Dustin Lynn McLelland of Lubbock. He is survived by his sister, Cathie Maxine Williams of Globe, Ariz.; two brothers, David Lynn McLelland and wife, Lupe of Lubbock, and Patrick Shawn McLelland of Littlefield; along with several nieces and nephews.

CARMELA O. LOPEZ

Carmela O. Lopez, 86, of Littlefield died Saturday, Dec. 7,  2013 in Lubbock.Funeral Mass was held Tuesday morning, Dec. 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Jim McCartney officiating. Rosary was recited Monday night, Dec. 9, 2013 at Grace Chapel of Hillcrest Funeral Home. Interment was in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements by Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield. She was born July 1, 1927 to Rafael and Mary Herlinda Olvera. 
Carmela moved to Littlefield from Brownsville. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield. 
Preceding her in death were her two sons, Santiago and Antonio Lopez; her parents; five brothers; and four sisters.

Larry Duane Hooley, of Cleburne, formerly a long-time resident of Littlefield, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 in Cleburne. 
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 in Hammons Memorial Chapel of Hammons Funeral Home, with Bob Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home. Larry was born in Cloud Chief, Okla., on March 18, 1935 and was raised in the Spade/Littlefield area where he attended Spade High School. CHARLIE DUDLEY

Funeral service for Charlie Dudley, 98, of Littlefield, who died Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Covenant in Lubbock, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Peace Deliverance Church. Burial will be in Littlefield Cemetery, with McCarty Funeral 
Home of Littlefield in charge of arrangements. He was born Dec. 24, 1914 to the now late Charlie Sr., and Versie Morgan Dudley, the oldest of 26 children. He attended Lamar County Schools, and was a self-taught  barber and carpenter, and was a farmer. He married Myrtle Rollerson on Nov. 19, 1937. He married his present wife, Bennette Leonard on Feb. 10, 1989. Preceding him in death were 15 of his siblings: Calvin, Hugh, Marie, Marcella, Ralph, Charlie E., James, Shirley and Sammy Dudley, Ada Bills, John Jr., Robert, Paul and Curiest and Marshall Dillard. Surviving are his 10 siblings, Maggie Washington, Sam Wesley, Helen, Billy, Jimmy and Ruby Lee Dudley, Thelma  Dangerfield, Ivory, Menzo and Roosevelt Dillard.
