Ophelia Nunez Campos

Ophelia Nunez Campos, 79, of Littlefield died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 in Lubbock. Services were held Tuesday  fternoon,
Jan. 14, 2014 at Temple of Adoration Church in Littlefield, with Marco Colina officiating. Interment was in Littlefield
Cemetery, with arrangements under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield. She was born Nov. 16, 1934 in Prarie Lea, Texas to Juan and Angelita Nunez. Ophelia moved to Littlefield in 1965 from Fentress, Texas. She
married Guadalupe Campos June 19, 1964 in Luling. Her family and her church played big roles in her life, and she led the Senior’s group at Temple of Adoration Church, where she was a member. Preceding her in death was her

Daniel Thomas Wethington

Daniel Thomas Wethington, 13 months old, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, in Hurst. Family and friends gathered for a Mass of Christian Burial Monday morning, Jan. 13, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, Texas. Daniel was born on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2012 to Brian and Lessie Wethington. He was preceded in death by his
grandfather, Charles Collins; great-grandparents Albert and Marie Venhaus, Tom and Thelma Wethington, Cecil and Willa Dean James, AnnaLee and Floyd Englant, and Jesse and Viola Collins. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; his sister Jocelyn; grandparents Herb and Joyce Wethington, and Katy James, of Littlefield; and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Daniel’s honor to UMDF.org. A memorial fund has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Daniel T. Wethington

Rachel Lucille Sadler Price

Rachel Lucille Sadler Price, 89, of Lubbock died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. Celebration of life services will be held in  Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014. Interment will follow in Resthaven
Memorial Park in Lubbock. Visitation of family and friends will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 5 until 7 p.m. at
Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock. Rachel was born in Cloudchief, Oklah., on May 4, 1924. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to the West Texas area. She graduated as valedictorian from Whitharral High School, and then continued her education at Draughn’s Business College in Lubbock. Rachel traveled a multitude of career paths throughout
her 89 year life span. She worked for the Lubbock Police Department, Barron’s Wholesale Drug and in Administration at Texas Tech. She owned a drapery business for 35years and she was a  licensed reflexlolgist and massage therapist.

JOHN H. DAYTON

Service for John H. Dayton, 65, of Springlake, was held Saturday afternoon, Jan. 11, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Springlake with Rev. Ryan Smallwood of Lubbock officiating. Burial was in the Springlake Cemetery after cremation, with Ellis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. John died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014 in Springlake. He was born Sept. 7, 1948 in Plainview to John P. and Lorena Dayton. He married Debby Watson in Plainview on Jan. 24, 1970, and they moved from Lubbock to Springlake in 1973. He graduated from Texas Tech University and was a farmer for more than 20 years. John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springlake. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Debby; a son, Carey Dayton of Lubbock; a daughter, Chelsie Dayton of Lubbock; a sister, Phyllis Wall of Plainview; grandchildren, Dustin Dayton, Zachary Dayton, Adam Dayton and Mariah Dayton; and a close family member, Steffanie Dayton.
