Elizabeth “Anne” Harvey

A memorial service for Elizabeth “Anne” Harvey, 69, who died Dec. 28, 2013, will be held at the First Baptist Church of Amherst at 4 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, with Rev. Harold Brantley, officiating. She was born Aug. 5, 1944 in Amherst, to Harry and Nellie (Pew) Brantley. Anne is survived by her husband of 48 years, Clayton Harvey; three sons, Robert Wayne and (Yvonne) Harvey, Michael Duane and (Robin) Harvey, and Christopher Len and (Darlyn) Harvey; a sister, Sue Martinez; two brothers, Jeff and (Joyce) Brantley and Harold and (Jackie) Brantley; and four granddaughters.

L.C. “REDD” GAGE

L. C. “Redd” Gage, 86, of Vernon, formerly of Littlefield and Lubbock, died Monday, July 14, 2014, in Vernon. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2014 at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield. Burial will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield. L. C. “Redd” Gage was born March 13, 1928 in Twity, Ark., to Leonard and Maude Gage. He served his country in the United States Army from 1945-1946 and was released in 1947. Preceding him in death were his wife, Ollie May Gage; four brothers, Rusty Gage, Ralph Gage, Guye Gage, and Frank Gage; and two sisters, and Lillian and Celesta. Survivors include three sons, Nickie Gage, Kenny Gage, and Darrell Gage; eight grandchildren, Shane, Randy, Heath, Cameron, Cheyenne, Brannon, Heather, and Tyler; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda and Shirley.

Frances Hermosillo, 68, of Portales, New Mexico died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock. Celebration of Christian Mass will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Anton, with Father George Poonley officiating. Arrangements are by Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield. Preceding Frances in death are three brothers, Fred Amalla, Antonio Amalla, and Victor Amalla; two sisters, Mary Lou Sambrano and Mercedes Alonzo. Survivors include a son, Lucas Hermosillo and wife, Ashley, of Portales, N.M.; a daughter, Becky Westberry and husband, Irosky of Portales, N.M.; three brothers, Domingo Amalla of Anton, Cecil Amalla of Morton, and Jose Rofino Amalla of Anton; and one sister, Elsie Gamboa of Portales, N.M.
