Bubba Dunn

Bubba Dunn, 54, longtime resident of Amherst, Texas was called home by Jesus Tuesday September 9, 2014. He was born December 30, 1959 in Emporia, Kansas. Bubba grew up in Brewster, Kansas. After high school, he attended Gordon Taylor Auction School. In 1983, he moved to Hereford, Texas where he was involved in the trucking industry, hauling cattle. He also owned and operated a private club called Bubba’s South Fork Bar. It was here he met and then married the love of his life, Leesa Miller. The two were wed April 13, 1991 in Clovis, NM. Bubba was known for many things, like his sense of humor, his great personality, and his ability to tell wonderful stores, and a few tall tales. He was known near and far for his cooking and catering business which he operated for many years, Bubba’s Custom Cooking. To say that Bubba was active in his community of Amherst would be an understatement.

Ranen James Holmes

Ranen James Holmes was born into the arms of Angels at 8:05 a.m. at University Medical Center in Lubbock Texas, weighing 7 lbs. and 1oz., and 20 inches long. He was the third child born to the union of Reginald Holmes Jr. and Rachel Sherie Holmes. Services for Ranen James Holmes will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at New Mt. Olive Baptist Church located at 314 Southwest Side Ave. in Littlefield. Pastor H.K. Thomas will be officiating. Services are under the direction of McCarty Funeral Home. Ranen leaves to cherish his memory, his father and mother, Reginald Jr. and Rachel Holmes; a sister Raegan Holmes; a brother Ryaln Holmes all of Littlefield; grandparents, Billy and Rene Joyce of Littlefield; grandparents, Reginald Sr. and Tressie Holmes, and grandmother, Margaret Holmes of Beaumont, TX; grandfather, Jasper Colbert of Lubbock; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Frank Espinoza

Frank Espinoza, 61, of Littlefield died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at his home in Littlefield. Rosary was recited Friday evening, September 12, 2014 in Hammons Memorial Chapel, Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield. Mass was held Saturday afternoon, September 13, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Jim McCartney officiating. Arrangements were by Hammons Funeral Home. Frank was born September 12, 1953 in Fort Stockton to the late Francisco and Julia (Coronado) Espinoza. He married the love of his life, Rosa (Trevino) Espinoza on August 28, 1971 in Spade, Texas. Frank was always known to help others whenever possible. He was a very hard worker and threw himself into everything he did. In his spare time he enjoyed wrestling and Harley Davidson’s. His true love in life was his family, especially his grandchildren. Preceding him in death are his parents, Francisco and Julia Espinoza; his son, Frankie Espinoza; five sisters; and three brothers.

2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield with Father Jim McCartney officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred
Heart Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
Refugia was born Aug. 22, 1937 in Seguin, to Daniel and Juanita Hernandez.Refugia moved to Lubbock from Littlefield to be closer to her family. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two sons, Raul Duran of Littlefield and Rudy Duran of Fresno, CA; two daughters, Rafaela Regalado of Lubbock and Rachael Duran of Lubbock; 22  grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
