ERICA WILLIAMS

Erica Williams, 34, of Littlefield, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018. Services to celebrate Erica’s life will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 26, 2018 at First United Methodist Church in Littlefield. Interment will follow at Littlefield Memorial Park. Prayer services will be 6 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. She was born April 10, 1983 in Amherst to Efrain and Kathy (Duran) Rios. Erica attended Littlefield schools, and graduated with the class of 2001. She married Rocky Williams on Feb. 24, 2007 in Littlefield. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2015 with a BA in Psychology. Her favorite days were spent outside, playing with her family.

RUBEN LOZANO SOTO

Ruben Lozano Soto, 53, of Littlefield, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 in Littlefield. He was born Jan. 3, 1965 in Littlefield, to Cristobal Soto and Cresencia Lozano Soto. Ruben was a hard worker and worked in remodeling. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed watching sports. He was a Catholic by faith. Ruben is survived by three sons, Ruben Soto, Jr. of Littlefield, Nicholas Soto of Lubbock, and Jawn Soto of Reno, NV; two daughters, Cresenthia Soto and Rita Irene Soto, both of Reno, NV; ex-wife, Becky Rendon; fourteen grandchildren; six brothers, Pedro Fuentes of Clovis, Jessie Fuentes of Tahoka, Leon Fuentes of Shallowater, Isidro Lopez of Littlefield, Felix Soto of Las Vegas, and Joe Soto of Dallas; five sisters, Janie Hernandez of Dallas, Beatrice Palacio of Dallas, Eva Reyes of Littlefield, Josie Fuentes of Lubbock, Irene Gonzales of Littlefield, and RoseMary Fernandez of San Antonio; and many friends.

RANDALE JOHNSON

Randale Johnson, 48, of Lubbock died March 14, 2018 at his home in Lubbock. Funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 in Hammons Memorial Chapel of Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield, with Father Brian Wood officiating. Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield. He was born in Lockney, May 11, 1969 to Dale Johnson of Idalou, and the now late Joyce Hart of Amherst. Randale married Denise Johnson (Abeyta) of Littlefield, in April of 1997. Preceding him in death is his mother, Joyce Hart. Survivors include his wife, Denise Johnson of Lubbock; his father, Dale Johnson of Idalou; a brother, Allen Johnson of Waco; and a half-sister, Brandi Gonzales. Family suggests memorial donations be made to Lubbock Animal Shelter; 3323 S. E. Loop 289; Lubbock, Texas 79404.

LONA MAE COOK

LONA MAE COOK Lona Mae Cook, 82, of Amherst, died Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Lubbock. Services were to be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Primitive Baptist Church in Littlefield, with Elders Cleveland Bass, Scott Bass and Norman Jones officiating. Interment was to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery at Amherst, with arrangements under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield. Lona was born Nov. 26, 1935 in Bailey County, Texas to Jimmie and Lora Mae Bass. Lona married Andrew Allen Cook on May 20, 1952 at Ft. Hood. She was very active in her church, singing hymns. Preceding her in death were her husband, Andrew Cook; four sons; and her parents. She is survived by her two sons, David Cook and wife, Gail of Ft.

VELVIE MAE BERRY

Velvie Mae Berry, 89, of Amherst, died March 6, 2018 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be held Monday, March 12, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Amherst, Texas. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery in Amherst. Arrangements under the direction of Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas. Velvie married James E. Berry on March 22, 1949 in Amherst. She is survived by four sons, Darrell Berry of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Bob Berry of Cashion, Texas, James B. Berry of Victoria, Texas and Dale Berry of Nocona, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters. Velvie is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Floyd and Ora Mae VanDoern and two sisters.

Ricardo Hinojosa, Jr., 54, of Spade and formerly of Levelland, died Monday, March 5, 2018 in Lubbock. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church of Levelland, with Head Duarate Funeral Home and staff directing arrangements. Viewing and Rosary were held Thursday night, March 8, 2018 in Head Duarte Funeral Home Chapel of Levelland.

YVONNE LEWIS

Yvonne Lewis, 82, of Olton, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Lubbock. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment followed in Olton Cemetery, with Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton directing arrangements. Yvonne was born Dec. 17, 1935, in Paducah, to Tom and Opal (Roberts) Henderson. Losing her mom at a young age, Yvonne’s father married Alene Markum and together they raised Yvonne. On June 6, 1954, Yvonne married Elmer Lewis, in Sudan. She was involved in the First Baptist Church, sang in the church choir for over 40 years, volunteered in the church library, and taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was a talented seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Opal Henderson, and her step-mother, Alene Henderson.

PEDRO PETE LONGORIA

Pedro “Pete” Longoria, Sr., 64, of Littlefield, died Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Lubbock. Funeral mass was held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield. Interment followed in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. He was born Aug. 8, 1953 in Lubbock to Ysabel and Juanita Longoria. Pete worked for the City of Littlefield as an animal control officer. He was a Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Hacholic Church. He enjoyed gardening, playing Bingo and barbecuing with friends and family. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister.

DON RANDOLPH

Church service for Don Randolph, 80, of Earth, who died Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in Lubbock, was held Friday afternoon, March 9, at First United Methodist Church in Earth, with Gil Ramirez of Sundown officiating. Burial was in Earth Memorial Cemetery, with Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home of Earth in charge of arrangements. Don was born June 21, 1937 in Truscott, Texas to Henry and Hazel (Glasscock) Randolph. He married Sunnye Kay Wyer in Dimmitt on Oct. 25, 1958. Don had lived in Earth all of his life, where he was a member of the Earth Roping Club, the Earth-Springlake Livestock Association, and on the Board of Earth Coop Gin. Don was also an avid craftsman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sunnye in 2004, and his parents.
