PATRICIA ANN ELKINS

Patricia “Pat” Ann Pierce Elkins, 84, of Olton, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, in Olton. Services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Willis Blair and Brother David Azam officiating. Interment was in Center Plains Cemetery, with Ramage Funeral Directors of Olton directing arrangements. Pat was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Lamb County, to Clifford and Katherine (Yohner) Pierce. She grew up in Littlefield and graduated from Littlefield High School. On March 25, 1951, Pat married Gerald Elkins in Littlefield and they were married for more than 66 years. They lived in Halfway and Sunnyside before moving to Olton in 1995. She was a member of Sunnyside First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Bible School. Pat was a talented painter and seamstress. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Kelcey Elkins.

GENEVA E. NEWMAN

Church service for Geneva E. Newman, 76, of Sudan, who died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 in Lubbock, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at First United Methodist Church in Sudan, with Rev. Larry Springer of Lubbock and Rev. Inetta Reddell of Lubbock, officiating. Burial was in the Sudan Cemetery, with Ellis Funeral Home of Sudan in charge of arrangements. She was born Sept. 24, 1941 in Muleshoe, to Russell and Ruby (Nixon) Ingle. She married Jim Newman in Sudan on Marcfh 13, 1965. Geneva was a beautician for many years. In school, she was an All-State Basketball player. Geneva was a past member of the Young Homemakers Club; and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sudan. She is preceded in death by her parents.

RICKY CARL GRANT

Ricky Carl Grant, 56, of Littlefield, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 in Littlefield. He was born Aug. 9, 1961 in Littlefield to Billy Carl Grant and Patsy Ann Oberlechner. Ricky loved classic cars, enjoyed music, and working on his cars. He loved his family and was a Christian. He is survived by one son, Billy Lee Grant of Littlefield; a brother, William Carl Grant; a fiancée, Brenda Sanders of Littlefield; and numerous extended family and friends. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.

Wayne Frank Green

Wayne Frank Green, 69, of Pep, Texas  passed  from  this  life  on Sunday, November 19, 2017. He was laid to rest on Tuesday No- vember 21st, 2017, in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Wayne was born on September 17, 1948 in Littlefield, TX, to Franklin  Green  and  Lydia Jungman Green. He married Rita Bustamante on Novemeber 28, 1970 in Pep, TX, and  thereafter  moved  to  Santa Cruz, Bolivia. He  is  survived  by  his  wife, Rita; son, Patrick Green; daughters, Erika Green Simpson, Cindy Green Pidgeon, and Christy Green Montes; brother, Steve Green; sisters, Vivian  Henderson,  Karen  Green  Hilgart,  Marilyn  Green Driskill, Glenda Green, Denise Green Sullivan, Francis Spruiell, and Cynthia Green Krenmueller; and 10 grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. A rosary followed by a memorial service mass will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pep, Texas, on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Maria “Mary” Dalia Crayton, 69, of Littlefield died Nov. 30, 2017 at Lamb Healthcare Center in Littlefield. Rosary was recited Friday afternoon, Dec. 1, 2017 with Mass following at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield, Texas. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield. Mary was born Dec. 23, 1947 in Taft, Texas to David and Ludivina Flores. She was a homemaker all her live. Preceding her in death are her parents, David Z. Flores and Ludivina Suarez Flores; her husband, Sam Crayton, and a son, Robert Flores. Survivors include a son, David Flores, II and wife, Crystal of Dripping Springs; three grandchildren, Sydney Marie Flores, Destanie Hope Flores, and David Robert Flores, Jr.; and three sisters, Anselma Gutierrez of Abilene, Zulema Cordova and husband, Roy of Dripping Springs, and Blanca Flores and husband, Francisco of Dallas.

Ray Fulton Anderson, 79, of Lubbock, died Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017. Graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in East Mound Cemetery at Matador, Texas. Ray grew up in the Littlefield area. He is survived by his wife; three daughters; two sisters; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

POLLY CANTRELL

Polly Cantrell, 89, died, Sunday morning, Nov. 26, 2017, in Lamesa. A funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday morning, Nov. 29, 2017 in Hammons Memorial Chapel, of Hammons Funeral Home, located at 503 E. 5th, in Littlefield. Burial will be in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home. Polly was born on Aug. 28, 1928 in Rochester, TX to Harry Henderson and Clairressa (Best) Henderson. She married James Cantrell, in Lamesa, in 1949. SERVICES PENDING Their daughter, Katie, was born in 1955. Polly is preceded in death by her husband, James Cantrell, of Littlefield; a daughter, Katie Boyd, of Amherst; and an infant son; her parents, Harry and Clairressa Henderson of Lamesa; brothers, Leo Henderson of Pasadena, and Carl Henderson of Lamesa; sisters, Wanda Kearney and Alma Douglas, both of Lamesa.
