THOMAS ROY HALL

Church service for Thomas Roy Hall, 80, of Earth, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Earth Church of Christ with Bill Weldon of Earth, officiating. His body was cremated. Parsons-Ellis Funeral Home of Earth was in charge of funeral arrangements Tommy died Friday, June 16, 2017 in Earth. He was born April 7th, 1937 in Littlefield, to Eual and Helen (Crouch) Hall. He married Maria Elena “Misty” Bustamante in Farwell, Texas on February 14, 1997. Tommy moved to the Earth community from Channing, in 1999. He was a member of the Earth Church of Christ and worked for the Texas Highway Department. Tommy is preceded in death by his parents. Tommy is survived by his wife, Maria Elena “Misty” Hall; four daughters; Cindy Magby and her husband, Rich of Muleshoe, Tammie Hall of Sunset, Texas, Debbie Hudson and her husband, Mark of Brownwood, Carrie Stroud and her husband, Billy of Thornton, and Sandra Carranza of Muleshoe; two brothers; Mack Hall of Ft.

ROBERT HILL

Robert Hill, 58, life-long resident of Littlefield, died Monday, June 19, 2017 in Littlefield. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. Hill was born May 23, 1959 in Littlefield to Loyie Weldon Hill and Ellie Mae (Freeman) Hill. Robert was a kind man who was a loyal friend. He loved to go hunting and fishing, and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed old rock and roll music, and being with friends and family. He was the shop foreman at the ICT plant in Littlefield, and was loved by his co-workers. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his older brother, Don. He is survived by his sisters, Ann Robison of Littlefield, and Sue Miller of Eula, Texas; a brother, Jessie Leroy Hill of Lubbock; several nieces and nephews; and all his friends and co-workers.

ABRAN MARTINEZ, JR.

Abran Martinez Jr., 72, of Littlefield, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home. The family celebrated the life of Abran Martinez at his home, before his passing. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. He was born April 13, 1945 in Amherst, to Abraham and Augustina Martinez. He was a lifelong resident of the Lubbock and Littlefield area. He married Jackie Camacho Aug. 29, 1964 in Littlefield. Abran loved working in the yard, playing with the grandkids and listening to Merle Haggard music. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Tech fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.

ALTON RAY WOOD

Alton Ray Wood, 74, native of Littlefield, and formerly of Levelland, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at his home at Lake Kemp, Texas. A memorial service was held at George C. Price Funeral Home Chapel in Levelland, Wednesday, June 21, 2017, with Pastor E.G. Lambright officiating. Ray was born on May 29, 1943, in Littlefield, to the now late Roscoe Wood and Loveta Flake Wood. Ray was a barber in Levelland prior to joining Amoco Production Company in Sundown, where he retired after over 20 years of service. After his retirement, he did what he enjoyed most, which included fishing, hunting, traveling and not wearing a watch. Ray is preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Wood; his mother, Loveta Flake; brother, Jerry Wood; sister, Barbara McInturff; and his first wife, Nell Hunt Wood.

GARY EVANS

Gary Evans, age 61, was born Aug. 9, 1955 in Millington, Tennessee and passed away June 14, 2017 in Hurricane, Utah. Gary married Janice Flannery on Aug. 28, 1988 in Santa Ana, California. They shared 32 years of fun and laughter. On September 13, 1990 they were blessed with their only child, Kameron L. Evans. Gary is survived by his wife, Janice Evans of Hurricane, Utah; son, Kameron Evans of Murray, Utah; and his father, Lyndel D. Evans of Lubbock, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Evans and sister, Sandy King. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Metcalf Hurricane Valley Mortuary Chapel, 140 North Main Street, Hurricane, Utah.

BRANDON LEE ALLEN

Brandon Lee Allen of Anton passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017. the Family gathered for fellowship and remembrance Friday evening, June 16, 2017, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. Family and friends will gathered to celebrate his life of 47 years on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Indiana Ave. Baptist Church. Brandon was born on Sept. 24, 1969, to Larry and Bev (Reneau) Allen in San Antonio and graduated from Marshall High School. Brandon worked as a Truck Driver for Dynamic Transit and was a member of Fresh Fire Fellowship in Lubbock. Brandon is survived by his two sons, Morgun and Payden Allen; parents, Larry and Bev Allen of Anton; sister, Renee Payne and husband, Kevin; niece, Kendal Payne, and nephew, Garrett Payne all of Lubbock; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

FORREST L. NUTTALL

Forrest L. Nuttall, 95, formerly of Amherst, died June 11, 2017 in Montgomery, Texas. Service were to be held Wednesday morning, June 14, 2017 at Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery in Littlefield, Texas. Burial in Littlefield Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home in Littlefield. Forrest was born July 18, 1921 in Milsap, Texas. During WWII he served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany and France. He moved to the Amherst area where he was a farmer. Forrest was an active member of the Methodist Church in Amherst during his time there. Preceding him in death are his wife, Audrey Nuttall; daughter, Leslie Brantley; grandson, David Brantley; brother, LeeRoy Nuttall; and sister, Theo Nix. Survivors include his wife, Vera L.

ARCELIA MAGALLANES

Arcelia Magallanes, 77, of Olton, died Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Lubbock. Rosary was said Monday evening, June 12, 2017, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass was celebrated Tuesday morning, June 13, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. John Smith as celebrant. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. Arcelia was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Augustine and Natividad Chacon. On Sept. 24, 1960, she married Jesus Magallanes in Mexico. A resident of Olton for 51 years, Arcelia was a homemaker and member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was a talented seamstress, cook, gardener, and enjoyed singing. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rene Magallanes; a brother; and a sister. Survivors include her husband, Jesus Magallanes of Olton; three sons, Jesus Magallanes, Jr.

TED HOLDER

Ted Holder, 75, of Levelland died in Lubbock on June 1, 2017. A family visitation was held Friday evening, June 9, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Ted was born in Lubbock. He attended Texas Tech University studying Business Management. He worked in Lubbock a short time, and relocated to Levelland, where he has lived since 1971. He spent 33 years serving in Municipal government service, and the last 23 years as Police Chief for the City of Levelland. After his retirement in Dec. of 2002, he worked as an Emergency Manager for seven governmental agencies. During his professional career, Ted also served on several local, regional and state boards in relation to his job. He was very interested in humanitarian projects domestically, as well as internationally. He was a member of the Rotary International, an international service organization, he served as District Governor for District 5730 from 2005-2006.
