SPC Law Enforcement announces courses for ’15

South Plains College’s Law Enforcement Program announces Continuing Education Courses for spring 2015. The courses will be given at the SPC Law Enforcement Academy and Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) credit will be provided for students who bring their TCOLE Personal Identification number. Because of legislative changes, any officer holding an Intermediate Certificate or above is exempt from taking Cultural Diversity and Special Investigative Topics. All officers are required to take “Legislative Update” every two years and complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years.

Junior High Band members place in All-Region Band

Twenty-one Littlefield Junior High Band students competed and took places in the Region 16 Junior High All-Region Band at Shea D’s 1012 W. Waylon Jennings • Littlefield • 385-6263 11 a.m - 9 p.m. Mon.-Sat. & 11 a.m - 2 p.m. Sunday Happy Holidays from We will be closed Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, December 24th, 25th & 26th for the Christmas Holidays! We will re-open for business on Saturday, Dec. 27th! the Arce Family Shallowater recently. All students who represent Littlefield prepared audition music and scales to qualify for the competition. This music is prepared outside of class-time and students receive help during tutorial, enrichment, or after school. They competed against students from Idalou, Gravitt (Denver City), Jim Ned, Clyde, Shallowater, Roosevelt, Post, Watson (Muleshoe), Merkel, and Brown Middle School.

4-H Gold Star and Distinguished Leader recipients honored

The 57th Annual 4-H Gold star Banquet was held Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at the Frazier Alumni Building, Texas Tech University, Lubbock. The 4-H Gold Star Banquet spotlights 4-H Gold Star Winners and their achievements, as well as, offering special inspiration and encouragement to all youth.
