Garcia-Balderas wedding scheduled this Saturday

Amanda Garcia and Micheal Balderas, together with their families, invite their friends and relatives to share the celebration of their wedding ceremony, which will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Laguna Park in Littlefield.

A reception will be served immediately following the ceremony at Zeek’s 54 Event Center, 1403 East Waylon Jennings Blvd. in Littlefield.

SAM’S CLUB DONATION

Sam’s Club Lubbock location donated $250 to the Littlefield High School senior class for their all night party after graduation. Ron Torrez, the Merch./Ops Manager along with a Sam’s associate presented Destiny Reed with the check Thursday morning.

Local nurse practitioner named Distinguished SPC Alumna

LEVELLAND – Littlefield’s Lamb Healthcare Center’s Nurse Practitioner, Jennifer Galey, will be recognized during a Presidential Reception at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the T-Club at South Plains College in Levelland, and will be the honored guest at the 59th annual SPC Commencement Ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. on May 12, in the Texan Dome, on the SPC campus.

Littlefield School Board holds regular meeting

Last week, the Littlefield School Board met in regular session and handled several items on their agenda.

The item that drew a good amount of discussion was the work being done at the field house.

Littlefield Superintendent Robert Dillard said construction slowed because of some issues. He said there were some engineering issues that needed to be adjusted. Dillard said each adjustment made, had to be approved by an engineer.

Paz-Martin wedding vows exchanged in ceremony

Wedding vows were exchanged between Luisa Fernanda Parra Paz of Manizales, Caldas, Colombia, and Aaron Martin of Addison, TX Saturday, April 15, 2017 in an outdoor ceremony at 5 p.m., in Melissa, TX.

Robert Martin, father of the groom, officiated for the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Gilberto Parra Ramirez and Alba Lucia Paz Delgado of Manizales, Caldas, Colombia.

Rotary Club

PAUL HARRIS FELLOW AWARD—Littlefield Rotary Club member and immediate past president, Anthony Aragon, left, was presented his Paul Harris Fellow Award by Club President Jim Patrick Thursday, during the regular meeting of the Littlefield Rotary Club. Aragon was to have received the award during a special ceremony in Levelland Thursday night, April 6, but was unable to attend. Patrick is holding Anthony’s Paul Harris pen, and past president’s pen, after he had presented the certificate.
