Drug possessions dominate Grand Jury indictments

Lamb County’s Grand Jury met Thursday, Sept. 6, and returned 29 indictments for Judge Felix Klein’s 154th District Court.

Of those, 18 of them have been released to the Lamb County Leader-News for publication, since some of those indicted, have not been taken into custody.

Of the 18 already in custody, one of them received two indictments.

Richard Phergson, 35, of Littlefield, was indicted on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group one, Methamphetamine, in an amount of less than one gram. Bond was set at $5,000.

The second indictment was also for possession of controlled substance in Penalty Group 2, namely Tetrahydrocannabinol, other than marijuana, in an amount of more than one gram, but less than four grams. Both offenses occurred Oct. 14, 2017. Bond was set at $7,500, for the second offense.
