Juanita Mosqueda, 78, of Olton, died Friday, May 11, 2018, in Lubbock. Rosary was said Sunday night, May 13, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Olton. Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Interment followed at Olton Cemetery, with Ramage Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Juanita was born May 15, 1939, in Runge, Texas, to Vicente and Marcela Zamora Gonzales. She married Susano Mosqueda on Nov. 13, 1956, in Spur, Texas. In 1966, she moved to Olton and was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and a member of the Guadalupanas. Juanita liked to garden, sew, cook, and bake. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Susano Mosqueda in 2013; and six brothers and sisters. Survivors include three sons, Art Mosqueda of Lubbock, Manuel Mosqueda of Levelland, and Ramiro Mosqueda of Abernathy; two daughters, Isabel Ward of Andrews and Adela Reid of Plainview; a brother, Jose Gonzales of Nordheim; and two sisters, Esperanza Garay of Midland and Maria Yates of Terrell. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
