Restoring hope


In September of last year, Puerto Rico was devastated by Category 4 Hurricane Maria. It was the strongest storm to make landfall in 85 years.

The storm wreaked havoc on the archipelago (a group of islands) located between the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, east of the Dominican Republic and west of the Virgin Islands.

Many lost their lives, and the hurricane knocked out power for many others.
