WATCHING COUNTING MACHINE

Brenda Goheen, Lamb County Voter Registrar, watched one of the two M100 Voter Counting Machines being tested Friday morning in the County Clerk’s office. The machines, which will count the results from the ballots of voters in all 12 voting precincts, were working right Friday, during testing.

This machine was being programmed to count the early voting results from Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, when early voting begins Tuesday, Feb. 20, and ends Friday, March 2. Other precincts will also be counted on the other machine. All Early Voting will be done in the County Clerk’s office during regular office hours (8:30 to 5 p.m., including lunch hour), with the exception of Wednesday, Feb. 21 and Monday, Feb. 26, when early voting may be done all day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on either of both days.
