Workforce Solutions in Littlefield

“We’ve been going to Littlefield for about a year now. We’re there on most Thursday’s and are there from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.,” Director Don Hill said. “In the mobile unit, there are computers available for individuals needing to do job searches or unemployment insurance claims online.

We assist them with resumes, completing their work in Texas applications online and then any other service that they may have with all of the other programs that we have.” He added, “We give out general information on the WIOA program (Workforce innovation and opportunity Act), which is a training program. We provide veteran services, migrant and seasonal farmworkers services, so that is kind of the general of what we do. This is a permament thing, our mobile unit will continue to come to Littlefield and many other rural places where there is not a Worforce Center located, such as Denver City, Tahoka, Olton, Floydada, etc.” Shown is Michael Tamez standing with the Worforce Solutions mobile unit in the United Supermarkets parking lot in Littlefield.
