David Ojeda, 79, of Littlefield, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 in Littlefield. He was born December 29, 1937 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Paulino and Maria Ojeda. Viewing and visitation were held at Hillcrest Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 20 and 21, 2017. Funeral services were set for today, Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017 at Hillcrest Funeral Home at 11 a.m., and burial followed in Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery. David moved to Littlefield from Mexico in 1971. He worked as a farmer most of his life. David had a good sense of humor, worked hard and was “old school”. David loved cowboy hats, auctions, old cars and guns. He was always working on something. David is preceeded in death by a son, a grandson and a brother. He is survived by his wife, Dora, of Littlefield; five sons: David Jr. Ojeda of Lubbock, Alonzo Ojeda of Littlefield, Alvaro Ojeda of Edinburg, Alejandro Ojeda of Lubbock and Jaime Ojeda of Littlefield; three daughters: Esperanza Duran, Concha Ojeda and Aurora Sanchez, all of Littlefield; 24 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four brothers: Paulino Ojeda of Guyman, Okla., and Victor, Leonardo and Mario Ojeda, all of El Paso; four sisters: Enriqueta Ojeda of Del Rio, Ester Ramirez, Juanita Marrufo and Guadalupe Bailey, all of San Jose, Calif.
