Littlefield 4-H seeks support

In 2012, the Littlefield 4-H Club took over the task of honoring the veterans in the new cemetery by placing flags on those almost 800 graves for each memorial holiday. For 5 years they have continued this task, desiring to recognize and honor those in the community who have served in our military.

This year, the club is expanding their efforts. With few records of those buried in the old cemetery, the 4-H members and leaders walked grave by grave to identify the veterans, based on the headstone markings. They have placed flag holders at those graves so that these men and women can be honored.

The club members need community help in two ways. One, we would love to make sure that your loved ones are honored. Not all graves are marked with their service. If you have a loved one buried in the old cemetery that is a veteran, please email their name and the approximate location of the grave so that the club can make sure your loved one is honored for their service.
