Albert J. Simonik, the son of Stan and Julie Simonik of Littlefield, received the Outstanding Airfield Systems NCO of the Year Award. In a letter of congratulations, Major General Timothy G. Fay, with the United States Air Force, said, “I would like to personally thank you for your outstanding contribution to the airfield operations mission, both in Europe and Africa. Recognition at the MAJCOM level is proof of your extraordinary professionalism, hard work, and commitment to excellence.” Tech Sergeant Albert Simonik is now stationed at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson, AZ.
