Lamb County 4-H Members successful at Food Challenge

Forty-nine Lamb County 4-H members participated in the District 2 4-H Food Challenge, Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, at the Mallet Event Center in Levelland.

The Food Challenge contest is modeled after such competitions as the Food Network’s Iron Chef. This contest challenges teams of 4-H members to create a dish using only a pre-determined set of ingredients. From these ingredients, team members must identify and prepare the dish, then make a presentation about it to the judges.

District 2 4-H had a record number of participants this year, with 445 4-H’ers participating, 16 senior teams, 43 intermediate teams, and 50 junior teams.
