Wildcats drop close contest to tigers, 28-16

The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity football team fell short in their comeback efforts, as they fell to Slaton on the road on Friday, 28-16.

With the loss, the Wildcats fall to 1-7 overall, 0-3 in district play.

The Tigers won the coin toss and elected to receive to begin the game.

They wasted no time finding the end zone on their first drive as Lazaro Galindo completed a passs to Dajahney Williams for a first down. On their next play, Kevondrick Gober took the carry 56 yards for a touchdown with 11:18 to play in the first quarter.
