Inez Ogletree, 98, of Olton, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, in Lubbock. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Olton Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017. Inez was born June 5, 1919, in Cloud Chief, OK, to William and Alethia (Fennell) Hackler. She moved to the Olton area in 1929. On April 20, 1937, Inez married William Malcolm Ogletree in Clovis, NM. She was a homemaker and long-time cook for the Olton Lion’s Club. A member of the First Baptist Church, Inez loved to crochet and was a talented cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1988; a son, Darrell Ogletree, in 2009; and twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son, Danny Ogletree of Littlefield; two grandchildren, Shawn Ogletree of Fresno, CA and Ariel Ogletree of Littlefield; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to the Runningwater Draw Care Center, P.O. Box 409, Olton, TX 79064.
