PAUL “BUD” PROVENCE

PAUL “BUD” PROVENCE Church service for Paul “Bud” Provence, 89, of Sudan, who died Monday, July 24, 2017, in Amherst, was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, at First Baptist Chruch in Sudan, with Mike Wood of Sudan and Terry Wilson of Sudan, officiating. Burial was in the Sudan Cemetery with Ellis Funeral Home of Sudan in charge of arrangements. Bud was forn Aug. 9, 1927 in Lazbudie to Dan S. and Ada Bellar Provence. Bud served during World War II in the United States Navy. He was a welder and a blacksmith for many years, and a volunteer fireman in Sudan for 57 years. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Sudan. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Donna Lynskey.Bud is survived by his two sons, Damon Provence and his wife, Jeanne of Sudan, and Darren Provence and his wife, Tracey of Sudan; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
