Lfd. Jr. High Honors Band rates high in concert, sight reading

These members of the Littlefield Junior High School Maroon Honors Band came home with top ratings, following the Regional UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contests at Frenship. Nine other junior high bands competed at the contests, including Lubbock, Brownfield, Shallowater, Seminole, Plainview, Levelland, Denver City, Frenship and Idalou. Names of the students are found in the accompanying story.

The Littlefield Junior High Maroon Honors Band earned top ratings at the Regional UIL Concert and Sight reading contest on March 5 at the Frenship Performing Arts Center. Competing were middle school bands from Littlefield, Lubbock, Brownfield, Shallowater, Seminole, Planiview, Levelland, Denver City, Frenship, and Idalou. The concert contest performance was judged by Joey Ashbrook from San Angelo Central High School, Mike Devenport of Gatesville, and Cheryl Hopkins from Greenville High School.
