David Thornton Stafford, 78, of Levelland, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. Funeral services were held Saturday morning, March 1, 2014 at First Assembly of God Church in Levelland, with George Price Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be Sunday, March 2, in Cottonwood Cemetery at Bryson, Texas. He was born in Morton, on Oct. 31, 1935 to Bolden Greene and Ruby Elmira Stafford. He was raised in Bryson, before moving to Spade. He married Nancy Hiberd on Jan. 24, 1954. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. He owned and operated a gas station in Littlefield before moving to Levelland in 1970. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, his daughter, Debbie Graf and grandsons, Kane Stafford and Dylan Baker. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughters, Brenda Baker and her husband, Bill, and Karen McKenzie, and his son, Keith Stafford and his wife, DeAnna; his grandchildren, Kyla Baker, Laurie Key, Jace and Melissa Baker, Seth and Missy Graf, Kristin Soto, Amie Stafford, Ashleigh and Michael Ferguson, Michael Stafford, Tanner McKenzie, Jessi Stafford, and Zane Stafford, as well as 14 greatgrandchildren.
