5th annual Denim Runway kicks off at ACG denim plant

The students later studied different denim options for their upcoming 5th annual Denim Runway competition.

The 5th annual Denim Runway competition, sponsored by Plains Cotton Cooperative Association, kicked off this week with a tour to the American Cotton Growers’ Denim Textile Plant in Littlefield. From raw cotton to a finished pair of blue jeans, Texas Tech apparel design students are learning what it takes to go from crop to clothes line. Elaine Morton, Taylor Dawson, and Kaitlyn McDonald were three of the students touring the mill and selecting their fabric.
