$143,227.40 in sales taxes returned to cities

Texas Comptroller Susan Combs announced Wednesday, that state sales tax revenue to the six Lamb County cities was increased by 16.68% over the same payment period in 2013. The sales tax figures represent December sales reported by monthly tax filers, as well as October, November and December sales by businesses that report taxes quarterly. The six Lamb County cities received a net payment of $143,227.40, which is compared with the $122,748.49 received for January last year — the 16.68% increase.
