Viola Miller, 87, of Levelland, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. A Rosary was held Thursday evening, Feb. 6, at George Price Funeral Home in Levelland. Funeral Mass was held Friday morning, Feb. 7, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Levelland,  and interment followed in St. Phillip Neri Cemetery in Pep. Viola was born on Feb. 7, 1927 in Pep, to the now late  Mathias and Emelia (Glumpler) Demel.  She was raised in Pep, graduated from Pep Schools, and later attended Texas Tech University. She moved to Levelland in June  of 1969. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, and prior to moving to Levelland she attended St. Phillip Neri Church at Pep. She was always active with St.  Michaels Sausage  Festival. She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons, Dan Miller and wife, Janis, of Ft. Collins, Colo., and  Kenneth Miller of Midland; three daughters, Shirley Vaughan of Levelland, Loretta Bryant of Levelland, and Cindy Carey and her husband, John, of Lubbock; her sister, Margaret Ruzicka of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and seven great  grandchildren. Pallbearers were Chuck Blodgett, John Carey, Michael Vaughan, Chris Vaughan, Dylan Carey, Pat Miller,  and Marty  Miller. The family suggests memorial donations can be made to Boys Town or to a favorite charity.
