Mrs. Lula Helen Brown, 97, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and formerly of Littlefield, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 26, at her home in Denham Springs. Private services were held in Louisiana, and burial was in Littlefield Cemetery Friday afternoon with arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home. She was born on Jan. 21, 1917 in Griffin, Georgia. Lula was a resident of Livingston Parish for the past 22 years. She was a homemaker and a retired school cafeteria cook. She was a Baptist. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larkin Baxter “L.B.” Brown; and her son, Kenneth Brown. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Taylor and husband, Burl; a sister, Pauline King; and by grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
