Jimmy Wayne McCary

Jimmy Wayne McCary, 61, of Littlefield died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 in Lubbock. Memorial Services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, at the First Presbyterian Church in Littlefield with Rev. Ruth E. Clendenin officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. He was born June 13, 1952 in Lawton, Okla., to John McCary Jr. and Peggy Buswell McCary. Jim was a lifelong resident of Littlefield. He graduated from Littlefield High School with the class of 1970. He then attended Sul Ross State University and earned his Master’s Degree in Animal Science. He was a farmer and also worked at the Farm Service Agency Office (FSA) for many years, and worked with all aspects of farming and livestock. Jim served as an Elder of the Presbyterian Church for many years,
where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his father, John, and a brother, Jerry  McCary. He is survived by his mother, Peggy McCary of Lubbock; son, Brad McCary of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren; and longtime  companion, Judy Bradley of Lubbock and her children and her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Presbyterian Children’s Home.
