Rachel Lucille Sadler Price

Rachel Lucille Sadler Price, 89, of Lubbock died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. Celebration of life services will be held in  Resthaven Funeral Home’s Abbey Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014. Interment will follow in Resthaven
Memorial Park in Lubbock. Visitation of family and friends will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 5 until 7 p.m. at
Resthaven Funeral Home in Lubbock. Rachel was born in Cloudchief, Oklah., on May 4, 1924. Shortly thereafter, her family moved to the West Texas area. She graduated as valedictorian from Whitharral High School, and then continued her education at Draughn’s Business College in Lubbock. Rachel traveled a multitude of career paths throughout
her 89 year life span. She worked for the Lubbock Police Department, Barron’s Wholesale Drug and in Administration at Texas Tech. She owned a drapery business for 35years and she was a  licensed reflexlolgist and massage therapist.
She married Floyd Alfred Price of Lubbock on April 14, 1945, in Anton. They enjoyed 68 years of marriage, while attending Southside Church of Christ. They lived on and farmed the land on which Floyd was born. Rachel was predeceased by her parents, Elsie and Samuel Sadler of Littlefield; one brother Ervin Sadler of Littlefield; five sisters,
Dortha Sadler of Littlefield; Florence Eady of Denver City, and Wanda Walton of Sudan; Vineta Couch of Anton; and Veva Mae Anderson of Levelland. Rachel is survived by her husband, Floyd Alfred Price of Lubbock; and a daughter and son-inlaw Renee and James O’Donnell of Oklahoma City, Okla.; as well as seven nephews; and eight nieces.
