Henry Freeman June 5, 1938 - Jan. 1, 2014

Henry Freeman, 75, of Littlefield, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014 in Lamb County. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, Jan. 4, 2014 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield with Pastor Tracey Spencer officiating. Interment followed in Littlefield Memorial Park, with arrangements under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. He was born June 5, 1938 in Groesbeck, Texas to Leonard and Ruby Freeman. Henry married Sharon Sue Cox on Oct. 10, 1960 in Clovis, New Mexico. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and grilling, and drinking coffee with his friends at the coffee shop in the mornings. Henry adored his grandchildren, wasn’t afraid to work, and work hard, and he took pride in his garden, especially the delicious tomatoes that he grew. He was a good man with a good heart, slow to anger and would give a stranger the shirt off his back to help. He was especially fond of his Yorkie dog, Prissy, who went everywhere he went. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and a brother. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Freeman of Littlefield; a son, Rex Freeman and wife, Juli, of Littlefield; two daughters, Tammy Danner and husband, Monty, of Pampa, and Christy Bichsel and husband, Greg, of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Andrew Freeman, Braden Danner, Amanda Freeman, Kristin Reed, Nathan Bichsel, Brian Karpel, and Meagan D’auria; five greatgrandchildren, Kingsley Reed, Alex D’auria, Kaleah Karpel, Hailey Anzaldua, and Briggs Bichsel; three brothers, C.M Freeman, Donald Freeman, and Gerald Freeman; and three sisters, Lois Strait, Helen Cox, and Ruby Brown.
