Funeral services for Juanita Villafranco, 80, of Littlefield, who died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, in Littlefield, were held Friday afternoon in Grace Chapel of Hillcrest Funeral Home. Vicente Rangel and Juan Jose Hernandez, officiated. Interment followed in Littlefield Cemetery, with Marco Colina officiating. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home of Littlefield. Juanita was born Aug. 29, 1933, in Norton, Texas to Epimenio and Patricia Rangel. She was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Memorial Church, which was founded by her brother, and is currently known as Temple of Adoration. Preceding her in death were a son, Raul Villafranco; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters. Juanita is survived by a son, Johnny Villafranco, Jr., of Littlefield; four daughters, Elida Garza of Littlefield, Erlinda Hernandez of Greeley, Colo., Nancy Villafranco and Carmen Smith, both of Littlefield; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, Vicente Rangel of Midland; and two sisters, Elisa Alvarado and Alicia Smith, both of Littlefield. Serving as pallbearers were Juan Gabriel Garza, Michael Durrell Smith, Josue Luis Hernandez, Javier Carlo Garza, Cameron Smith, and Fabien Sergio Garza. Samuel Villafranco was an honorary pallbearer.
