WANELL BOATMAN

A Celebration of Life service for Wanell Redwine Boatman of Lubbock, formerly of Muleshoe, who died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, was held Saturday at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers in Lubbock. She was born on Feb. 7, 1933 to the now late John and Minnie Redwine in Lubbock County. She was a sister of Billie Redwine McCurry of Littlefield. She graduated from Muleshoe High School, and married Billy Boatman on March 7, 1952, in Tatum, N.M. She was a member of Bacon Heights Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Boatman on May 16, 2003; a son, Terry Boatman; and six brothers: Leonard, J.C., Dalton, Jerrel, Charles and Duge Redwine. Surviving are her two daughters, Shelly Stone and Sherry Gale; her sisters, Bonnie Ashmore, Deretha Brooks, Billie McCurry, and Edna Snead; two brothers, Eugene Redwine, and Homer Redwine; her grandchildren, Angela Gayle, Jason Gayle, Amberlee Sykes, and Amanda Stone; and her great-grandchildren, Stephanie Gayle, Kylee Sykes and Brittany Gayle.
