Service for Craig Franks, 50, of Sudan, was held Saturday morning, Dec. 14, 2013 at the Sudan Church of Christ with Terry Wilson of Sudan officiating. Burial was in the Sudan Cemetery, with Ellis Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Craig died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 in Littlefield. He was born May 14, 1963 in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Connie and Sandra Franks. Craig had moved back to the Sudan community from Albuquerque, N.M. in 2006. He graduated from Sudan High School, and then attended a carpentry school in Lubbock. Craig worked on the original construction of the Tolk Station for Missouri Valley in Lamb County. He had been the maintenance coordinator for Furr’s for 17 years in Texas and New Mexico, and the maintenance coordinator for Cottonwood Mall and Properties in Albuquerque, N.M. for three years. He had worked the last four years farming for Terry Evans and Sons of Fieldton. He was a member of the Sudan Church of Christ. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, J.C. and Evelion Franks and Bud and Ruth Brasher, his aunt, Brenda Tomison; and two cousins, Gary Tomison and Gregg Tomison.. Surviving are his parents, Connie and Sandra Franks; his sister, Holly Crews and husband, C.W. Crews of Littlefield; his brother, Brad Franks and wife, Alisa of Lubbock; and several aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins. The family suggests memorials be made to the Sudan Church of Christ Building Fund, P.O. Box 95, Sudan, Texas 79371.
